Claudio, Tommaso and Federico established the Sea connection Trio in 2018 during their master's degree attendance at Conservatory "A. Corelli". Since 2019 the Trio has performed in several noteworthy exhibitions and festivals, like Filarmonica Laudamo in Messina and Roccalumera or Palermo for the Sicilia Jazz Festival.
The Sea Connection Trio is trying to establish itself as the leading reference for the jazz panorama in Sicily. They have built a meaningful connection with various soloists: Rosalba Lazzarotto, Nicola Caminiti, Gianfranco Torrisi, Alessandro Presti, and many more.Together with Nicola Caminiti, they recorded "AQUA" in June 2021.
Claudio Palana was born on June 8th 1996. He started to play the piano at 4, following his father's passion for music.Since He was 8, he started to study all by himself theory, solfeggio and different instruments, such as guitar, bass, and mandolin.As a rising star in the Sicilian jazz panorama, his playing combines Sicilian roots, classical European lyricism, and new contemporary jazz sounds. In 2014, the Conservatory A. Corelli admitted Claudio ahead of time because of his early talent. In this conservatory, He will obtain a bachelor's degree in Jazz Piano (2018), a master's degree in Jazz Composition with 110/110 (2019), and a master's degree in Jazz Piano with summa cum laude and honours (2022) presenting musical research based on Aaron Parks, one of his idols. He gathered valuable experiences, from playing in the Corelli Big Band in 2014 to playing in some relevant jazz festivals and exhibitions, such as Sicilia Jazz Festival, Lune Di Jazz, Totù Jazz Festival, Puntalazzo Jazz Fest, Riflessuoni, and Filarmonica Laudamo.
